Ah! How much do I love Peter Wingfield right now?!

I happened upon some Highlander/X-Files crossovers lately and fell in love with Adam Pierson aka Methos aka Death. So many fantastic traits - his intelligence, quirkiness, charm, gentleness, and such a great sense of humor even after having lived for 5000 years. I still love Mulder/Krycek of course, but it's nice sometimes to be able to enjoy a pairing without all the emotional baggage that usually comes with it.  More than anyone else, I think (of the pairings I've read), Methos understands and accepts Krycek for himself. He's been down that road. He doesn't judge.

Whether paired with innocent, hurting, vulnerable Rat or scheming, devious, mischievous Rat, these two just seem to have so much fun together. 1. Dr. Who and Jack Harkness ComicCon kiss! This video made me LOL so hard when I saw it. Undoubtedly most of you have already seen it, but...haha I hope it never fails to amuse.
It's great to see that even John Barrowman has his fangirl moments.

2. I found this ancient greek riddle in my friend's copy of Plato's Republic.

RIDDLE: A man who is not a man, threw and did not throw, a stone that was not a stone, at a bird that was not a bird, sitting and not sitting, on a tree that was not a tree.
The answer (under the cut) is a a lot funnier than it really should be. Spent a good few minutes laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of this. I can almost see Plato just sitting there, stroking his beard and whatnot, wasting his time thinking up riddles like this.

3. Saw a guy the other day who had a prosthetic arm which ended in a large metallic hook! O_O Pretty much the highlight of my day.
First thing that popped into mind was: I wonder what Krycek would say to that.

Just watched the Krycek episodes in season 2 for the first time today. I finished watching season 1 not so long ago. I realize this is kinda late to the game considering that the X-Files have been around since...1993? But I've only been in the fandom for less than a year. I do know the plot inside out (well, the Krycek-related ones anyway) from reading fanfiction.

Well, Skippy!Rat did amuse me so. The hair, the suit, the puppyish dogging of Mulder, the infamous red speedo scene (and he was so checking him out). And the look that he gives Mulder when he lets him have the keys is just heartbreaking.

Hooray for M/K slash in canon.

Also, I find that the more episodes I watch, the more endearing Mulder becomes.

*is now eagerly awaiting season 3 from Netflix*  (though I really want to jump ahead to Tunguska)

Well, I keep putting off posting in my LJ because I never know what to say in these things, but I figured I had to start somewhere...

So this journal will be about whatever happens to catch my interest. I will be posting the occasional fanfictions, blogs, and basically just random rantings. Expect to see a lot of whatever my current obession happens to be.
